Winslow
Located 50 miles east of Flagstaff and just 100 miles east of the Grand Canyon, Winslow is a favorite travel destination because of its spectacular views of the Painted Desert and the San Francisco Peaks. Historic Old Route 66 runs through the center of Winslow, and it is bordered by the Navajo Nation and the Hopi Reservation. Winslow also enjoys lots of sunshine, famous sunsets and starry nights.
Dedicated in 1999, Standin' On the Corner Park in historic downtown Winslow features a mural by John Pugh and a life-size bronze statue by Ron Adamson. Inspired by the song made famous by The Eagles, the park is located at the corner of Kinsley and Historic Route 66.
