Northern Arizona University
NAU has earned a solid reputation as a comprehensive university with a personal touch. The personal attention comes in many forms, including small classes with full-time professors who know their students' names and a caring and committed staff whose goal is to help every student succeed. While our emphasis is undergraduate education, we offer graduate programs and research that build from our base on the Colorado Plateau and extend to such national concerns as forest health and bioterrorism.
The NAU experience often begins in a residence hall on the safe Flagstaff campus. More than half our student population lives on campus. We offer a full range of athletics—from NCAA Division I sports to intramurals—and clubs, organizations, and campus events where students can make new friends or enhance their college experience.
NAU offers one of the best educational values available, with resident tuition rates ranking in the bottom third nationwide. Kaplan/Newsweek has called NAU a "hidden treasure," and an institution that "provides maximum personal attention" to students.
