Spring Training Baseball - Cactus League 2009

Since 1947, teams from Major League Baseball have descended on Arizona in preparation for their long regular season. Known as the Cactus League (in contrast to Florida's Grapefruit League), Arizona is now home to 14 professional teams during the month of March.

Two new teams have relocated to Arizona in 2009 ... the Cleveland Indians (Goodyear) and the Los Angeles Dodgers (Glendale).
